For many people, when they decide to build a website they start with building a site through wordpress. This type of site is fast and easy to get up and running and you can be live within minutes. When it comes to building wordpress site, one of the first considerations is the host. You can go with a host that is free so that your site costs you nothing but there is a good chance that in return, there will be ads scattered throughout your site.

 If you are willing to pay for hosting, there are many places that you can use that will only cost you a few dollars a month. You will want to look for a place that will allow you to upgrade if you are expecting to get a lot of traffic to your site. If your purpose in building a site is to give your business an internet presence, and you aren't going to do a lot with it, then this likely will not be such an issue. One of the next steps with building wordpress site is to add content and to make it look nice. It is hard to say which of these needs to be done first as you will likely end up fiddling with both as you set up your site. With that said, it is a good idea to have content written and you can get something posted fairly quickly. You can then play with themes and see what looks good once the content is up. You may find what looked good with some basic content does not look so great when you add more content or multiple pages to the site.

 Before you consider your wordpress site complete, view it in a few different browsers as well as on a tablet or mobile devices to see how it shows up. Ask your friends to check it out and click links and visit pages as there is a good chance that they will catch things that you didn't notice. You may end up having to go back and adjust your theme again at this point.
